Palm Tree

Palm Tree

A Poem by Alice Grey
"

This is a piece of work I have made for a school project in 8th grade. It has lots of symbolism, but I won't spoil the story. You will have to figure it out yourself.

"
The sand is slowly falling,
but not moving at all.
Silence as the ocean calms.
The tree tries to speak,
but the ocean does not respond.
The tree withers without its nutrients.
The tree grows but leans and bends,
and eventually snaps into pieces.
Too much weight without mother nature,
she is supposed to guide the tree.
But no!
Let the tree grow on its own?
I MOCK YOU MOTHER NATURE.
