I'll Write a songA Poem by Douglas Levi GribbinsIt's a song, about writing a song.
I remember taking this walk and
I'm hearing my mind, it's trying to talk I'm bored, got my life on board, I got the chalk It's tight in my grip, or so I think I ain't gonna trip I'm trying to control my lips, but I'm singing so I don't f*cking flip Am I having a dream or am I balancing choices and where to lean I don't know what's right and I don't know whats wrong I don't wanna fight this fight, "I'll just write a song." But what if someday I get discovered, could I take care of my mother? God bless her heart, God, please don't take her like you did my brother. But f*ck It i'm just talking and walking while my jaw and spine inside are locking. Though I might fall and be disabled, until I die, unable to write, you'll still see me here. Writing, fighting for my life just to inspire you. But I'll say -Chorus- Inside every song, is a writers heart, a noise, their voice With every line, with every word of their choice It shows and spreads emotions, whether their crying or smiling But in the end I can't feel a thing, just give me a pen and page, I'll write that. (x2) -Chorus-
