Don't stop lovin' me.

Don't stop lovin' me.

A Poem by Douglas Levi Gribbins
"

Xavier and Douglas come together to make a song based on a woman who has controlled his life.

"
(Singing)

It seems every day you wake with a different mind.
One day you hate me, the next you wanna press rewind

I promise one day i'll push and say you're too late
But for now you have my heart on a clean slate

You tell me always that's i'll be alright
But with my heart in your hand, Will i see another night?

(Rap)

Your words are empty
But your love is just too heavy
I have to believe you,
My heart doesn't wanna leave you, My mind is edgy

I've grown from mourning in the night
to fighting myself every morning
Shed my tears on the moonlight
They go unseen as my mind is storming

I'm warning you, One day it's going to be too late
Oh who am I kidding, every day is a self-debate
It's safe to say you changed my life, but is it for the better?
You say you know what's best for me, These scars prove never.

"But it's never to late for an apology"
My mind says as it pauses me
I'm thinking "Stay away from me
But I'm not saying Jack, i just lay victim as your pull preys on me.

(Singing)
(Chorus)
You know how I'm feeling
'Can taste my desire
Just give it to me one time.
Just Don't
Stop lovin' me
Stop lovin' me
Stop lovin' me.
(Chorus end)

My thoughts unspoken as you're hugging me
There's this trustworthy side of you I've yet to see

You've wronged me so much, I can't help but justify.
You've hurt me so much, i can't tell wrong from right

I've spent my life searching for someone
Darling i ask you...Am i your only one?

(Rap)
Your eyes, tell me our love can not be fake
But your lies, prove I have made a mistake
All those nights, with you sitting in my lap
As you kissed me on the cheek and told me we would last?

You've grown to be my living demon, my only obsession
A kiss from a black rose would probably teach you a lesson
Death by karma, Got so many scars I've developed armor
Now i'm OVER YOU and coming back fuller and stronger

You will never take me over again, You can die for all i care
Never write a song for you, Never more a dime for me to spare
I'm done with you, Don't talk to me, don't walk with me
Get off of me, Our time has come, You are witnessing defeat

As soon as i get up thinking I am finally winning
You wrap your arms around me and ask me if i'm finished
I say yes, a kiss on the lips, That's it for the night
That's it, goodnight baby, sorry for the fight.

(Bridge)
But That's it for me
That's it for me
I see defeat
Your over me.

(Singing)
(Chorus)
You know how I'm feeling
'Can taste my desire
Just give it to me one time.
Just Don't
Stop lovin' me
Stop lovin' me
Stop lovin' me.
(Chorus end)

Baby don't stop lovin' me....

Broadway. I am sorry but that is the only thing I can say, it read like an awesome musical. Grammar peaks and lows, what script doesn't have them? But the words a great stance for a stage.

Just send me some tickets when you hit New York.

One budding songwriter you are. Loved the way this begins and also the chorus. It has both the beauty of a poem and that of a song; with great rhymes and beats..

This was amazing. I loved the line "It's safe to say you changed my life, but is it for the better?" Such a truthful question. Sometimes those we love, can change our lives in the worst ways, even when we don't want to admit it. Keep up the great work. You have quite a talent.
