A short poem for that special someone.

All my life I've been searching for someone.
Who caught my eye, you were the only one.
But i was so surprised, that i failed to see
That my heart was dead until you made it beat

Now baby why would you take someone with no heart?
Someone not two faced, just one that's torn apart.
Now look in my eyes, baby girl, stop and see.
That the shadow that lurks behind me, is who i used to be.

My heart plays cards with the devil every time i choose to love someone
But deep in my mind, how hard i try, regardless, i have never won.
That doesn't matter, darling, I've escaped, i'm free.
You said you're looking for a hero, well that man is me.
