Blind Freedom

Blind Freedom

A Poem by Douglas Levi Gribbins
"

This is me digging into my inner child, and being happy, regardless of all emotions currently present.

"
Now baby why are we
Arguing
When we could be...
Dancing in the dark to this beat

Now baby girl take my hand
Let the dance begin
Let the misery end
And let that smile start again

(Beat changes to a hip-hop styled beat, rather than singing)
(Xavier Fox)
I'm a rather smart guy, Don't confuse it
But Right now i'm dancing in the dark, to this music.
Society Acts like a love monster, Mutated Cupid
Shot me down with you, Turned me love stupid.

I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to lose it
But i don't choose to, I'd choose death if no other solution
I can't tell if love is hate, or what love is meant to be above
Something i can't live without, but what i want to get rid of.

Just dance with me, darling, no one can see
Our world is pitch black, and it's just you and me.
I swear, it's every day, just the same old stuff
But i damned if i'll ever be getting enough.

(Chorus)

"society acts like a love monster
mutilated cupid
shot me down with you
made my love stupid"

I really liked these lines - i also like how this piece describes a specific small amount of time and is filled with desire for another
