FlyA Poem by Douglas Levi GribbinsAgain, something i wrote off the top of my head.Somedays i just wanna jump and spread my wings. I just wanna melt my heart, pour it out and sing. But everytime i go to do it i just fall to fiends I hate it that i don't know what my own life means. Do we all? We just fall off the ball to goals that we think that we can't reach. Were born on a leash, You dream, get Bashed with words, collapse, repeat. I know i sound like a parrot, It's apparent that parents inherit this same song, dance, and beat. But i ain't beat, i'm gonna fight today And come back with comebacks you won't say. Oh i got a blackened eye? I got a blackened mind Mind you that theres not word that i can't rhyme. It's time, My eyes burn from juice from oranges. My entire social life based off of broken syringes. Me dead today, strike me, i'll leave my poetry, behind me I'll be,Just a dead expectancy. So I'll expect to see An inspection, a fetch from a professor that will use me in a lecture. "Xavier Fox rocks, Every word is meaningful what he said" Please, for gods sake, don't hold back that stuff until i'm dead.
