DreamsA Poem by Douglas Levi GribbinsWhile listening to "Airplanes" I decided to write down my own share of lyrics. Hope you enjoy this short verse.I once dreamed of a place, A place for a kid who though life was a race. A place where he thought it was time A place where it won't matter what he looked like "He could rhyme" Outside of his face all that you can see is a smile A smile that only lasts until there's darkness all around. Now nobody can see him cry Everyone saw him try Everyone saw him get lost in his thoughts and pass out, fall down. But nobody saw that it wasn't just laughs Nobody thought about what happened in his past And he thinks once he's gone everyone the next days will praise it, raise the roof, and go ape s**t. He's going crazy, his last words are "God save me" Guess he's just another one who got away Light off, Dark day.
