A Poem by Gale

Tik toc, tik toc, tik toc, tik toc...

That is the only sound i hear in this room full of teens blabbering about nothing.

The sound of the clock distracts me from their mindless blabber, giving me an escape.

The teacher just sits there typing, it's annoying, but atleast he is not speaking.

Tik toc, tik toc, tik toc....

Soon that bell will ring and set me free, just need to wait a few more minutes.

I momentarily loose focus as i person bumps into me.

Recovering i look back at the clock.

Tik toc, tik toc....

So close and yet so far away.

These last minutes are the longest for me.

But as i realize tht i wont see these people for a whole week, i get excited.

Suddenly my body can't wait to start moving, to start doing nothing!

Tik toc....

Just a little bit longer.

I can feel it in my toes.

The ich to get moving, the adridiline moving.

Taking on a tight grasp to my things, i wait silently, staring at the clock like i have been hypnotized.

RIIINNNNGGGGGGG!

And i'm free!
