Life keeps going

Life keeps going

A Poem by Max P. Brown
"

Yet again, these are some song lyrics I'd like to just put out there for the world to see.

"
In the deepest ocean
hiding from the sun.
Or on the barren plains
where the mustangs run.

On the highest peaks
seen through an eagle's eye,
to the great Maine forests
where the old pines lie.

Our Earth's had some
pretty tough times,

But life keeps going on.

A light breeze dances
by a willow tree,
while above, the birds
fly proud and free.

A wolf cries out to
it's kin afar,
raising it's eyes
up to the stars.

Our Earth has seen
better days,

But life keeps going strong.

To this day our
world preserves,
but doesn't get what
it deserves.

It gave us life,
but we pretend
that there are no
injuries to mend.

We treat our world
so wrong,

But life keeps going on.

Simply wonderful. You have a very sensitive spirit and your words ring beautifully true with every line. Keep it up. Good write.

Unique. Good visuals. Keep at it.

If I could suggest an exercise for your next project I recommend a piece, similar in structure and message to this one, as it is obviously something you care about, but add character. Make the Earth as something alive. A living entity with emotion of its own. And give it more than just place. Give it story. It's experiences. Beginning middle and end. Delve deeper into "metaphor." (Just as an added challenge.)

But this, as is, is very nice. Again, keep it up.
