Eating Decay

Eating Decay

A Poem by GalaxyGhost

Eating away time
Rusting, falling apart, rot
Stinging smell, putrid

Smokey, coughing loud
Raw, decomposing freshness
Gag, lost, soft ground touch

Crackling burn cackles
Moss-blanket wood gnaws at stone
Into crystal sand

No more! No more time!
Clock ticks, echoes, no one there.
Empty. Time decays.

TV static, fuzz
Empty rooms, silent hallways
Just then, no sound. Shh!

Thank you!
Such an interesting poem, and the pictures just accentuate the images. Quite creepy! I think they really help to make this clearer to the reader.
I especially enjoyed the line 'Empty. Time decays.' It's such an unusual image.

Thank you! Time just passes and once it's here, it's gone.
This seems like so many disjointed phrases, but after reading it over, in the end it works. Decidedly different.
Good write.
