Love and Envy.

Love and Envy.

A Poem by Galadriel
"

I didn't even know why i wrote this

"

I ran to the hilltop
Staring at the moon
And shout loudly
'I'm such a sinful creature!'

The moon stared at me
With a gentle look
She asked me
'what have you done?'

i escaped from her presence

I ran to the peak of a mountain
Crying to the stars
And whispered softly
'i'm such a sinful creature!'

They stared at me
With a gentle look
They asked me with their weak twinkle
'what have you done?'

i escaped again

and i ran the front of the lake.
Starring on their reflections
i told both of them

'It is love.
The sin that make me overcome the God's word.
The indulgence that swallow me into deeper sorrow
The hope that choke my throat with beautiful dreams
Which i know
Will never come true

And it is envy.
The sin that make me suffer this agony.
Stab me with a knife of jealousy
A bitter truth that i always reject
Kill me slowly
With the iron hands of reality

Yesterday

Today

And tomorrow.

Really a wonderful poem. I like the pattern at the beginning with the hilltop and the mountain, and the changing pattern at the end with love and envy. Of course, right there in the center too is the reflection in the lake. Lovely imagery!
