The Faery Path.

The Faery Path.

A Poem by Gaiamethod
"

An invitation to the Faery Realms.

"

Through old dusty tracks and hidden byways,
we come.
Through mountain streams and roads of snow,
we pass.
But who is there to see us pass on our way?
But you?
Who is there to bid us the time of day?
But you.

We have waited for this day to arrive.
This day when all of heaven and all of earth,
join in unison.
To awaken the years of old,
when harps played their tunes by the fireside,
and pipes trilled in the treetops.
We have waited for the drums to beat,
To sound their notes of joy,
in a landscape filled with light.

Our highways and byways are open once more
And those of you who wish to pass may do so,
unencumbered.
For you cannot bring your human woes into our world.
You must leave them at the gates.
Then we will guide you to our realms,
Our realms of Faery lore and delight,
Of moonlit nights and standing stones.

There we will teach you of our ways,
The ways of stone,
the ways of water,
the ways of trees.
We will teach you everything.
But first you must wait,
wait of the call of the Wild.
For it will surely come,
if you keep your ears close to the ground,
and listen for the Mother’s heartbeat,
beating loud and clear.

Then you will know it is time,
and your journey has begun.

What a beautiful write of peace and the invitation sounds delightful. I know I am far behind in visits but I have only been to the Cafe to check in briefly each day. I hope all is well with you and yours. I am trying to find my way back to visiting as always. Don't give up on me. LOL

Hugs,
Lesa

Delightful. The second verse made me think of a Midsummer Night's Dream...and of the jolly ways of Morris Dancers. 'You cannot bring your human woes into our world' is the best line for me as it promises so much. And I like the last five lines as they make a lot of sense. We so often speed by and miss much of what nature is in reality and might be in the romance of our imagination, which your poem plays upon excellently.

A fantastic trip waiting to be started. I have waited a long time for it. Do they accept flying pigs that can talk? ;) Good write.

This is a very lovely and peaceful post.. I feel very calm after reading it and, will most definitely accept the invitation into your Faery realm... sounds/reads a very special place

Your metre's a little off in places, but, then, the entire piece reads like a myth rather than a poem so, it's fine and, as already said, lovely.

Thank you for sharing, I stand waiting to learn about your beautiful world.
