Life's Journey.

Life's Journey.

A Poem by Gaiamethod

Your new journey begins.

Let it take you where it will.
Through rocky valleys
And silver shores,
And moonlit nights on the hills.
Through sandy coves
And bottomless pits.
Let it take you where it will.

Life is an unending series of events,
Destined to push you to grow.
Let the winds of change carry you
To distance shores.
Let them carry you to your heart's desire.
Trust the direction that life takes you in
And you will reap the benefits of what you sow.

Watch the sun rise
And the moon fall.
Watch the seas flow back and forth
In an unending journey of delight and life.
Watch the trees change colour
And the mountains change their distance.
Let all of life carry you
For you are its creator,
Its lifeline.
Its joyous abundance.

Let the light shine where it will
And relish its glory.
For you will experience.
You will grow
You will live
In all the beauty and glory of the earth.
Life,
the gift of the Mother,
To you.

Beautiful thoughts and belief written quite beautifully.. there's a spiritual touch to your writing, not surprisingly having read your bio.. and it seems that the natural world is the strong essence of your thinking and way of life. There are phrases here that really 'hit home' with me, I wish more took heed and concentrated on the thoughts you include rather than fight for possesions and status which can be so easily lost.

'Watch the sun rise and the moon fall....' that stanza is truly exquisite.

Thank you.

The imagery is great in this poem. Very vibrant and alive. I like your reference to Mother Nature at the end as well. The way you go through the different stages of one's life compared to, for example, a flower's life stage is very original too. We blossom, and then die. Also, I found your philosophy of letting your life unfold before you instead of planning it all out personally satisfying.

Maybe, I found this poem hovering too near to the Christian/Religion genre, as it sounded like that hymn about how God made everything on this Earth, "all things bright and beautiful, all things great and small."

Great read though!

All else, I love your message here. It is one of the few poems which helps a person grow, become better, and evolve.

This is a wonderful piece.

And your fundamentals are very good as well

So very beautiful my friend. We do learn from our life's journey even if at the time we are walking the path we may not yet know the lesson that is there for us to see. I loved the flow of this, the beauty of your comparisons. As always it is a true pleasure to find my way to your heart. Blessings, Lesa

I put this off a time or two. And then, just before I'm to leave I saw it and knew it was to be read "Right Now". I'm glad. I needed the light of it. It holds a timely lesson for me. Thank you!
