Under a Blue-White Sky.

Under a Blue-White Sky.

A Poem by Gaiamethod

Tonight the sky seems brighter than before.

Yesterday the clouds obscured the sun.
Tonight a pale moon rises
and shines her snowy mantle,
translucent against the edges of the trees,
its brightness lights up the dark,
the dark inside.

Today the sun marches across the sky.
The clouds, her shining army,
Trail along behind her.
Bringing the promise of new rain, of beauty,
Of new growth.

We cannot live without this contrast,
Of sun, and rain, and night, and moon.
How would if be if all these things were solitary,
Moving against the blue-white sky?
How would it be if it only ever rained?
Or if the sun shone all the time?
How would it be if there was no night?
No light from the moon?

How indeed!

oh well, this poem did it to me, for I love light. I like the spirituality and and poetic beauty. Bringing the topic of elements is fantastic.

I like the imagery in this. And yes, how could we live without any of those? Well done.
