Just RememberA Poem by Gaia OctaviaFor Edward
I remember your eyes:
filled with the pain of your story, the acceptance of mine, and the moon- mirrored in your pupils. We sat under a starry sky on that chilly night, overlooking the city while we bared our souls and we had been enough. That intoxicating night bound us like sand and glue- twisting my heart into the shape of a painful bloom. That, I remember. I'll always remember. Because, though you are gone- now only wisps of memory and the warmth in my smile- you are still there with me: Each and every night, in view of the city, under each star in the sky, and in the chill of night, when I tell the moon to remember. Just remember. © 2024 Gaia OctaviaReviews
