Call Me by Your Name

Call Me by Your Name

A Poem by Gaia Octavia

Breathe in my mouth,
so that I may taste
your life and feel the warmth
of your pulsing blood

that thump, thump, thump
of your love

Place your tongue on mine,
so that I may hear
your thoughts-
made known by
this wet, fleshy thing

that crack, crack, crackle
of your fire

Lay beneath me,
so that I may smell
your skin
and know what it is
to hold you inside me

that throb, throb, throb
of your lust

Now say goodbye,
so that I may feel
your absence
and know the difference
between our joy and

that howl, howl, howl
of my loss

I like end with a twist....sometimes the good byes makes you realise the worth and then I guess good poetry also is born during and after they are gone.... I will check the book ... seems very intresting...

I don't have any words for this.
Your writing style is always... brutally honest, open and sincere. I really admire that, thank you so much for this poem.

Thank you so much for this review. 😊 You are far too kind but I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
The sensuality of this culminates to an unexpected feeling of loss. From the thump, crack, throb and howl, you've executed the intent of repetition dramatically so. Very much enjoyed!

So beautiful. Your words like a ancient love affair where love and life made love impossible. Thank you dear Gaia for sharing the outstanding poetry. I loved this one.

What the frick! I haven't read the book nor seen the film, but I could feel what it was all about by this poem, which was expertly written! Love the imagery, the construction, it danced as it flowed! Frickin' wow! Well done!
