my softness for clay,
for I am the beast

This reminds me of the angler fish. It appears to show weakness, falsely, with a fake lure. Only to end up the hunter, eating the prey. I enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing.

Well, at least she is warning him. Some just pounce out of the blue! Very clever four lines, and with rhymes.

Why, thank you very much. I do love rhymes and such 🤓🤓
I love that you included 'warning' in your tags for the poem. I read something like this about static IP addresses and it left me unimpressed but this is sharper.

Sharper indeed 😉 Thank you for your review.
Four lines of killer verse. Loved the rhyme, but the structure stole the show for me. Such fun to read aloud. Poetry with claws.

Thank you, as usual, for your kind review.
Let not the mask deceive the mind,
Beware the beast that lurks behind!

Well done!

it's an original.....wanted to say something in response to the poem, and that's what came out.
