Isolation

Isolation

A Poem by Gaia Octavia

Retired from the fray,
I've called it a day
I slip into myself
and long to stay that way

As days trickle by,
weeks and months do try
to slowly coax me out
But I watch life pass by

I'll happily go without,
if peace it brings about
it's always been my choice
and I have no doubts

Safe by design,
my bottom line
is to focus all I have
on me and mine
