Inside My MindA Poem by Gaia Octavia
I close my eyes and always know
just where it is I want to go a place that no one else can see starts flowing gently over me and in my mind its form takes shape this place into which I escape With rolling hills of soft, long grass my fingers kiss as I walk past a mighty oak perched on hilltop a fitting place I always stop with bare toes curled in soft, cool grass I look out on a lake of glass While softened wind does carry by the smell of earth and clear, crisp sky I hear the chirps and calls of fowls the mighty question of the owls and bustling squirrels start giving chase they're in and out of every place While a brook goes babbling by I feel no need to question why and through this din I still find peace my worries fade and all thoughts cease a place where life is not unkind this favorite place inside my mind © 2016 Gaia OctaviaReviews
