Hyacinth

Hyacinth

A Poem by Gaia Octavia

There's a place where I go
it's a place that no one knows
among the tangled hyacinth
deep within my own labyrinth
where my mind can uncurl
and I can just be a girl
away from prying eyes
I can drop my disguise
and put flowers in my hair
spin around with fingers flared
feel the wind whistle past
though I know it cannot last
still I wish that I could stay
and let the world just melt away

I feel the same, but no flowers or twirling for me, I'm afraid.
