Silent Sorrow

Silent Sorrow

A Poem by Gaia Octavia

Gentle willow,
how easy it is
to forget the world
within your embrace

Surrounded by rustling tendrils,
peace and love seem
so easily within reach
until I step away;

Only then do I realize
how you bend your head
and weep
for all that you have stood
to see
