Through These Eyes

Through These Eyes

A Poem by Gaia Octavia

As sober as a nun who has lost her faith
as useless as a dancer who's lost her grace
a life unraveled by tired mind
left weary from a life unkind

I remain a broken piece
always searching for release
trying to overcome the past
these hollow smiles, they never last

Patched up like an aging boat
with too many holes to stay afloat
the only thing that makes me stay:
blind faith that I will find my way

Your deepest thoughts and sincerest emotions set with the precision of a jeweler.
