Future Blind

I cannot see the future anymore,

I am only here right now.

Tomorrow is only a day away,

Yesterday has already taken a bow.

What tomorrow brings for me,

I have not got the tiniest clue.

For it is in today I must live,

And must do what I must do.

To the future I am now blind,

I have lost that bit of insight.

Yesterday’s problems cannot be changed,

It is today with which I must fight.

Tomorrow will bring another day,

What will happen I cannot say.

Only that I should try my best,

And not let another just slip away.

The future is yet to happen for me,

It is not yet set in what's to come.

The past is now behind me,

And I cannot change now what is done.

Yesterday and tomorrow I am powerless,

No changes over you can I hold.

But today I am able to change things around me,

That is the power in me you bestowed.
