Thoughts like the Nile

Thoughts like the Nile

A Poem by SELF

We are like dementors that suck the soul and dump it into oblivion.

We have become lumps of bones devoid of the breath of life.

We're devoid of sweet sweet love.

Loved people love people and hurt people hurt people,

but we have been a lifeless shell that wails for the breath of life.

Some even fill their heartbeat no more for the heart is the seat of love and without love,

our spiritual crunches are obliterated by what conspires within our libido.

Inside of it,

Lusts storm, swirl and turn within the bottomless pit of the mind and give this lifeless shell a jolt of pleasure whose likeness is like a leafless tree in spring.
