Long Pauses.

Long Pauses.

A Poem by SELF

Fashioned from the undying fabric of darkness,
I walk with a light within.
Step by step I move further and further away from birth to death
born everyday just so I can put to death all that I'm not.

Taking long pauses,
long pauses in front of great, wild, inexplicable things.
Things like starry skies
the ocean
And my heart.
Those long pauses make me whole again.

The waves of the blue ocean
the twinkling stars
the sand in my feet
and the breath in my lungs humbles my adoration.

Colors change their hues the moment my eye catches these glamorous sceneries, but beneath it all lies the eternal flame of love that burns for an indefinite time.

Within these hands that scribe marks on pieces of trees with margins and lines is that eternal flame,

Find it and pass it on.
