Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.

Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.

A Poem by Gabrielle Linch

Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Close your eyes.
Close your mind.
Listen to the wind whisper.
Listen to the silence scream.

Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Open your eyes.
Open your mind.
Look at the dark disappear.
Look at the time pass you by.

Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Close your heart.
Close your soul.
Touch the love you wish to hold.
Touch the light that guides you home.

Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Open your heart.
Open your soul.
Smell the warmth of love again.
Smell the coldness of the rain.

Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Exhale. Inhale. Breathe.
Close your eyes.
Close your mind.
Taste the feeling that you crave.
Taste the sun upon your face.

As a mantra for quiet meditation this works well. Anyone not able to see that will think it is a lot of extra work for just a few ideas, I personally appreciate a nice meditative lyric and this is better than decent. I feel the emphasis on visualization and positive vibration within it.

This reads like therapy for someone with an anxiety disorder and captures the essence of the frailty we all have in living. The repetition adds value to the therapeutic sense of the piece.
