Wallflower

Wallflower

A Poem by Gabrielle Linch

Unframed against the thin sandpaper wall,

Watching people with timid ice blue eyes.

Those transparent thoughts that were unrecalled,

Helped cope with unforgiving harsh good-byes.

A friend in need, but could not be found,

Woe opened the door without permission.

A wallflower not planted to the ground,

With a grave heart that holds words unwritten.

Would not change a word! Assembled with care and concern for it's reader, a quality absent of most poets.
Very nice work, something to keep out for your publisher.

I like the details here. Sandpaper wall, transparent thoughts, wallflower.

It also almost feels symbolist to me for some reason, which I like

"Helped cope with unforgiving harsh good-byes" - fav line.

Nice work

(on a editorial note, I think you mean 'permission'?)

If William Shakespeare can do it, than why can't I? Lol
