Holding Onto HeavenA Poem by Gabrielle Linch
I have stories left to tell,
They're of the healing kind. Headed into the great unknown, It's what's keeping me alive. I'm holding onto heaven. I'm searching for relief In a cold cruel world, that wants nothing more, than to break me. I'm holding onto heaven. Uncertain where to go, Lost into something else. Somewhere in the silence, I find the one to trust. I'm holding onto heaven. Repeat my words over again, "I don't need anyone." But I do need someone. Especially Him. I'm holding onto heaven. In a golden city On black clouds, He will wait for me, With open arms. I'm holding onto heaven. © 2014 Gabrielle LinchReviews
