Grave

Grave

A Poem by Gabrielle Linch

Painted on the outside walls
Was a mural of problems.
Long-suffering in the early hours of the morning,
Like entering another world.
A realm of sights and sounds.

Thick black paint
Blocked the outside world.
A lost soul
Made for background noise.
She realized she was a lack of purpose.

Delirious with dreaming,
Heart dark with love.
Black blood on spitting lips.
The world has gone mad with cruelty,
And no one seems to have noticed.

Abusing the innocent,
A butterflied silence.
Black ties, brown cigars.
Veils of tears,
From fading memories.

Flowers on her grave,
Stones in their hearts.
Folded fingers and wet cheeks.
Speaking her name in the listening shadows.
Quiet and reliable like the moon.

This is hands down the best compliment and review I've ever gotten.
Jesus said, He who accepts me accepts the one who sent me... Do you accept Jesus or reject him?
