CocainE

If there's no trust then what's the point
I live my life going by the ropes
I hang on tight cause time is running low
Nobody hearing me out, nobody even noticing me go
I live by the ropes and yeah I hang close
By a thread or two but only I would know
One friend on the side and the other slicing his throat
Throwing away his life with one shot at a time
Heroine running in his veins with Cocaine up his nose
Pills down his throat... Yeah pills down this throat
If earth is a place of heaven then that's not where I wanna go ....
To paradise
And land with the stars, laid up with Mars
Felt like a second option before
No I don't need it anymore, she was a w***e
I'm something you can't replace, someone you can't restore
My feelings have shattered on the floor
You broke me into pieces
It's not like before
One bad thing about me and that's the way you see me
Take a look at yourself and you'll see the hurt
You'll see the hurt you bring me...

I can't sit here and say I understand how you feel, because I don't, I guess nobody really understands exactly what the characters in this poem are going through. But I can relate to pain, addiction, and heartache. Your poem is well written and reaches out to the readers, gives them an inside look on one who is not so fortunate. it makes them remember the sad realization that the universe has taught us; that life is never fair for everyone, so if things are fair for them, to be grateful. Thank you for this piece and I hope you continue writing more in the same mood and tone.
