Who We AreA Story by Gabriel W. PhoenixTwo fallen angel fall into a forbidden love. Lives are on the line while death follows in their wake.As Ezrael grabbed the door and closed it, he gave a quick glance back at the two and grinned.
After the boy left, Gabriel turned to Caddi and stared into her eyes. Caddi turned her head quickly and blushed, staring at the floor.
“So,” she said in a flattered tone. “What do you think?”
“About what?” asked Gabriel.
“How do I look?” Caddi asked the handsome dark haired boy. As she spun around in her red swaying dress.
Gabriel paused for a moment, taking in every detail of her, trying to think of how to answer. Her form wasn’t that of a normal human girl. She was fit and muscular, her body built strong. But yet, she seemed so delicate, like she could faint any moment. Her countenance was more beautiful than any other woman he had seen. Her long blond hair that was pulled up, trailed down to the small of her back. But Gabriel paid no attention to this. He couldn’t stop gazing into her eyes. He slowly walked up to her and put his lips next to her ear.
“You look too beautiful to be real. I love you Candance,” said Gabriel quickly.
Caddi looked up at him wide-eyed as he moved his head back.
“I love you too Gabriel,” Said Caddi, blushing more heavily and looking into his eyes.
They were blue and green, with a grey circle around his iris and speckled with black dots. In the candlelight they seemed glow as Caddi moved as close to Gabriel as she could. Their faces were almost touching they were so close. Caddi put her hands on the young man’s shoulders, and then slowly moved them up around his neck, slightly touching his face. Gabriel wrapped his arms around Caddi’s waist softly, enjoying the way it felt as though his hands belonged there. The candlelight seemed to dim slightly as it danced around them while they stepped closer together. Gabriel’s eyes widened as Caddi leaned in and closed her eyes, softly touching her lips to his. It had been a very long time since he had been kissed. The feeling was unfamiliar, and somewhat awkward. Yet, somehow, it felt right. Like it was suppose to happen. Caddi opened her eyes to see what Gabriel’s reaction was and if he liked it. She saw the handsome boy staring at her, with his eyes larger and more scared looking than she had ever seen them before. He looked shocked, petrified, stiff, and unsure of what to do.
“I’m... I’m sorry. I guess I shouldn’t have done that. I’m really sorry Gabriel,” said Caddi as she hung her head. Gabriel softly grabbed her chin and turned her head to face him.
Gabriel’s eyes relaxed and turned back to normal. He looked her softly in the eyes, staring at the deep blue color.
“Don’t worry about it. I liked it,” said Gabriel. Caddi’s eyes sparkled in the dim light, as though they were laughing. She returned the boy’s gaze and smiled slightly. Then she giggled.
“You have a fuzzy in your hair,” laughed Caddi as she pulled a red thread out of Gabriel’s dark, black hair.
“Thanks,” said Gabriel, laughing. Then, out of nowhere, Gabriel’s expression changed. He became very serious, but yet gentle. All within seconds, his left hand moved down a little to her hip, while his right hand softly but firmly held her face. Caddi’s mouth was open in surprise, and Gabriel grasped the opportunity. He looked her in the eyes then closed his, quickly put his mouth to hers, and softly kissed her.
Caddi’s lips felt so soft... so sultry… he loved the way they felt against his. He started to gently suck on her bottom lip, and then played with it for a little bit. He opened his mouth a little wider, and ran his tongue against the outside of the girl’s lips, asking permission to enter. Caddi consented, opening her mouth wider as well. Gabriel pushed his tongue into her mouth, playing with her tongue and the roof of her mouth. Caddi slowly moved her hands down Gabriel’s face, to his neck, then to his chest. Gripping the belt across his chest, she played with the leather, sliding it off his shoulders, before moving to his low v-cut shirt. Then she continued to move down, pressing one hand against his chest, the other on his hip. She began to take his shirt off, and slid it over his head. She had never been kissed like this before. Sure, guys had kissed her in the past, but never with such feeling. It was so pure, like he actually meant it. Like he actually loved her and wasn’t just trying to take advantage of her. She was enjoying the moment so much, being whisked away to another world. His kiss was so full of emotion, as if she could feel the feelings he felt. His kiss was so true, so honest. He wasn’t too forceful, but definitely passionate. She hated to admit it but, she was head over heels for this boy. He was strong, extremely muscular, smart, athletic, and really attractive.
They both fell onto the bed behind them, laughing and giggling. Sitting up, they sighed in unison. Caddi’s hair was a mess, with strands of her sticking to her face. Both were sweaty, from emotions, adrenalin, and sheer exhaustion. But Gabriel couldn’t take his eyes off her. He gently held her face, pushing the strands of hair out of the way. He kissed her forehead and held her to his chest. He never wanted this moment to end. This beautiful girl, so strong in heart, fearless and brave. She has been through so much, yet never showed any signs of fear. Never giving up, always pressing on. Tears rolled down the boy’s face. Caddi looked up, worried as she felt him shaking.
“Are you okay?” Caddi asked, her face full of concern.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Gabriel said, wiping the tears from his cheeks. “It’s been a long time since I felt this. This feeling, of loving someone so much you would die for them. Loving someone so much, you would risk your life so they would be safe. Loving someone so much, you can’t imagine your life without them. Loving someone so much, you want to hold them in your arms forever and not let go. Promise me Candance, that you will be mine. Forever and always, mine and mine only. I love you Caddi. More than I ever thought I could love something."
At this point, Caddi, too, had tears in her eyes. She flung herself into Gabriel’s arms, sobbing.
“Gabriel, I’m yours. Don’t ever let me go.”
Gabriel slipped a silver bracelet off his left arm and offered it to Caddi. She didn’t say anything but had the question in her eyes. “This was my grandfathers, I found it after he had pasted many years ago. It’s the only memory I have of him. I want you to have it.” He said as he slipped it onto her left hand.
She looked into his eyes again. They weren’t the same as they were a minute before. They looked old and tired. The eyes of a man who had been through Hell and back. She began to study his face. His neck was thick and strong. He had a thick, strong neckline, with a soft jaw and cheek line. His features reminded her of a teddy bear at first, soft and almost child-like. But after a moment, she also noticed his appearance had a hidden strength to them. It was the eyes. His were green and bright, mixed with gold, like a lush meadow at sunset, surrounded by long, feather, dark black lashes. His lips were full and round, and with cute, bubbly, small nose that turned up ever so softly. His hair was dark, medium length and messy, showing a lack of care for his appearance, in a youthful, playful way. His skin was abnormally pale for the darkness of his hair and brows, covered amongst freckles. He had a bit of sheepish Irish blood to him, which made all the more handsome to look at. She quickly turned her head when she realized that she had been staring at him.
There was a knock at the door making both of them jump. “Enter” Gabriel says trying to hide the crack in his voice. He was still shook up from the kiss. Ezrael opened the door. “Oh… Sorry… I.. Didn’t mean to interrupt anything” He says with a grin on his face. “What is it my good friend?” Gabriel asked his voice somber and strong. “We found her.” Ezrael says quietly after a moment. Gabriel quickly stood to his feet. “Who did you find?” Caddi asked holding onto Gabriel’s arm. “Your sister.” Gabriel says looking her in the eyes.
Caddi let go of Gabriel’s arm and started to back away slowly. “How do you know about my sister?" She asks as Ezreal and Gabriel walk side by side towards her. Ezreal stops and Gabriel keeps walking toward her. Her and his eyes locked. "We need to talk." Gabriel says as he passes Caddi on his way to a table. He pulls out a chair and motions for her to sit as he leans on the edge of the table.
The truth
“Your sister has been ruffeling feathers for us. She went missing a few months ago, and we have been trying to find her,” Gabriel says. “She as a unique ability to sway even the hardest of hearts to tell her what she wants to know. © 2014 Gabriel W. PhoenixAuthor's Note
