CompanyA Chapter by Gábor Selényi
Yril and Mol led B-5 through a hall. It was dark, only white lights illuminated the mechanic walls and floors. It was surprisingly warm, though. Eventually they reached the entrance of a room. Yril pushed a button on the console next to the door and it slid open. Inside, five children turned to look at them. They all looked generally the same, but some were taller than others, and one had pure white hair and white eyes. Their faces were all identical, B-5 wondered if his was the same as theirs.
Mol crouched beside B-5. "Do not try to make friends with any of them. You're all rivals here." he quietly whispered into his ear, then with Yril accompanying him, they left. B-5 found himself in a room full of rivals. The white-haired boy came up to B-5 and sniffed the air around him. Then he extended his hand towards him. "I am B-4." B-5 didn't take his hand, but introduced himself anyway. "B-5." He muttered. The boy stepped back and joined the others. B-5 looked around the room. It had three bunkbeds on the two sides. A round table in the middle, with six chairs around it. There were no windows, only slids on the walls for the light to come in. © 2017 Gábor Selényi |
