Thinking About You

Thinking About You

A Poem by GZ

Last night I was thinking 'bout you,

your smile and your perfume,

time flies then comes light soon.

I was closing my eyes,

when you angel came by,

and our roses combined.

We: the mixture, the vines,

we: the blood and the wine,

we: the sun and the night.

Hand in hand we keep rolling the dices of life,

day by day we keep walking the path to the right,

step by step overcoming the problems and climbing the highs.

Hold me tight - don't let go,

keep me warm - I feel cold,

stay with me - I don't want to be alone.

Yes, I felt the loss here. You are yet to be of flesh and blood, while a loved one is spirit now. Still, we, you and me, and all of us, will never be alone in reality. Being alone is only something we imagine, like a child believing in the monsters under the bed.
I hope you can feel this and I know your poetry will help others feel less alone too.
Good work and a worthy write.
