Mirage

Mirage

A Poem by GZ

Like a mirage thee stay far,
at a long distance like thee is a star,
a bright light which shines staying calm,
hidden in the void - of the lost the alarm.
For every step taken two you take with charm.
An illusion everlasting, causing me nothing but harm.

And no apologies I owe thou,
I is innocent but guilty of holding my noun,
every word I say to thee - thee bounce,
and all the tries I made - I can't count.
Nights so empty the past's sound's vowel,
alive and painful - of I's soul the dowel.

Of thyself, thy vision must be blind,
how can a spirit be rude being so kind?
Of the most silents the most quiet,
why of your persona thee can't see the nice?
As time goes, days go by,
ticking seconds before of thee I'll loose the sight.

As rain during a summer day,
memories flash back and words speak which I can't say,
what once felt warm now has cold ice in the way.
A countdown till the 31st of May,
before a farewell - after all debts get paid,
a journey back home, missing a mirage I saw while staying.
