Liberty's Wings

Liberty's Wings

A Poem by GZ

Both wings of Liberty,
chain the eagle to fly,
with weight on its shoulders and hope in its sight,
it tries and tries but fails to rise.

The key it stills keep,
but people seem don't believe it,
as dreams pass time and fade away,
Liberty is now just it's name.
No more actions, a now far fame,
myth of stories are told to newborns today.

Day by day, erased winds and shorter chains,
serpents putting venom in thy grape,
thoughts get blurry until thee grave.
Holes so black no rain can wash their dark away.

Now that woke thy mind is,
someone - someone's to blame,
who to accuse, which the name,
where the cage - what the period...
no breathe the guilty again must take.

Knowledge away, masses like apes,
screaming and jumping in the same place,
did they nothing and nothing will they do,
don't waste thy breath, thyself will find calling for thou.
