Church Is Not Religion

Church Is Not Religion

A Poem by GZ

They burned and they lied,
they killed and then died,
they scream and they fight,
profess the peace then deny,
at first believed then denied,
that what they're doing was right.

More than wings: the hands,
of rich popes and the gems,
they stole from us and gens,
ancient demons - ancient fires extend,
no water here could help,
to stop just ask yourself:
"Is this road leading me to the right end?
Is this time worth all the pain I felt?".

A group turned to community,
from open minded to jury and guilty,
your religion turned out to be on a crucifix,
they the spear that killed the Messiah,
more than His voice - they just bring noise,
so what's the point of loving them,
if they can't lead the people to this place where everyone's even, then?

Church is no religion,
just a politic restriction,
another power to bother us,
with new laws and crown and signs on maps.
