Giving up the Ghost

Giving up the Ghost

A Poem by Gabby Nieves
"

her skin painted finely dim, these shadows know no bodies

"
write me something inspiring
to make these people feel.
if everyone was alive,
there'd be no reason for death
breathing to exist,
yet choking on the cause
I just want to die on nights like this,
filled with anxious despair
if only the sun would come faster
I'm not interested anymore
in lifestyle issues
I just want to get away from me
her skin painted finely dim
these shadows know no bodies
for once I'd like to see beyond the horizon
write me something to inspire
make me feel more broken
inside these white walls,
covered deceitfully in art
I find my end coming sooner,
I find my pieces apart
write me something now, could you?
we're losing this losing game.
once so bright raging through time
I find my dreams confiding in reality,
colorfully divine unconsciousness
escaping some place in my mind
alerted movement,
piers of open desire,
flying to my conclusion
write me up in the clouds
to make me feel whole
write me in the sky
so I'll lose this loss of control

Wow, I love when you read something that comes from the deep inside. This is intense. I love it

Last night I left the front door unlocked, hoping and praying for someone to please, please come in and kill me, but unfortunately it didn't happen. I guess I need to move to a worse neighborhood. Right there with you, dear
