Enough Said

Enough Said

A Poem by Gabby Nieves
"

Another one written with Jack Kennedy.

"
I want you to know that I love you
Everything about you, l accept it all
I hate to see your sadness deepen
I hate seeing those fresh wounds
Why are you always so broken?
What can I do to stop this sadness?
Tell me and I will do it as we speak
My passion for you runs very deep
Anything your soul desires,
Anything your spirit craves,
Just tell me what is dissecting you
Why must you slice yourself?
How come you slash your legs?
What brings you so much misery?
Please, I'm begging you tell me:

There's not much I can say
The vicious cycle repeats
And I don't feel the same
There's not much I can do
Since you don't see
Fading trees
Wilted flowers
Once in colour and beauty
There isn't much to know
And I don't know much at all
Or anything
Black clothes
Black soul
There isn't any room to grow
Alone with my myself
Clock ticking in my mind
Everything in death
I'm not even gonna try
Take it all in vain
You can't take away the pain
Hatred for my body
Razor to the bones
Disgusted with the blood
Not bleeding enough
I didn't even try to explain
Cause you already know
It's not you that I love
It was never you
Enough said

Dark and beautifully written. Reminds me of a damaged love.

You two write the most romantic, yet dark pieces ever, They fit my reading style perfectly! Awesome job! I absolutely LOVE the second stanza, Gabby!

Just put a knife in my heart...wow. This is almost too relatable. You wrote this very well

Wow, great work, both of you! I love the difference between the first and second stanzas; it's like love beginning and love finally giving up and beginning to die. It's so hard to love someone when you can't make them happy and they don't love themselves. The cutting metaphor is apt.

The first part had some high points but felt like it could do a little better but the lower half blew me away and gave me a sense of understanding to the already complex character. The last four lines resonated with me on a whole new profound level.thanks for sharing.
