I Forgot What it Means to be Alive

I Forgot What it Means to be Alive

A Poem by Gabby Nieves

I won't lie and say everything's alright
When inside I feel dead
What's the point of existing
If there is no cure?
No end to the numbness
The detachment from myself
She said it would take a while
Throwing words with blank meanings
Missed calls
No feelings
With nothing left
You want me to love,
Expect me to try
But I can draw the line at any time
Tie the knot
Melt my brain.
I won't lie and say everything's alright
When I'm sinking deeper and deeper day by dreadful day.

Your poetry's a portray of mysterious story-write that attracts all the attention to your deepen words. Liked the imagery. It's kinda of full of remorse or somber day-lights, but expressing the real nice mirror of your strong feelings in few words. Well written.
