Irreplaceable BruisingA Poem by Gabby Nieves
Irreplaceable bruising
This life is so confusing It's been 13 months and we've all faded into ourselves Closed doors on faded consumption No more talking Not even the sounds of chests rising and falling The ashes of our once sane system All piled up on the coffee table in the living room I'm lost in the unreal surroundings Living eternally in slow motion A silent devotion Bitter love and contraception smeared on the bed sheets The blood is gone but the bruises last forever This inexplicable bruising It will never not be confusing © 2015 Gabby Nieves |
