I don't belong here

My mind is filled with such awful thoughts
Even during the brightest of days
Love isn't anything but pain to me
And I hate to think of reality
Because what’s reality, really?
A cloud of vicious disappointments and rotten dreams
I’m starting to give up on giving up
When the sun shines in my eyes
And the shorts are too short to hide all my lies
I’m just a sad soul, so confused
My veins have been replaced with wind
And my heart with ice
My mind is filled with such awful thoughts
And I give up on giving up

You belong here.....on writer's cafe, and in the lives of your friends here. Anyway, this is the only place I've ever felt like I belonged. It's been a life saver.....for me.
But that's me, I guess.
I also find having pets to be a fulfilling thing......
I wish I had better insights to offer. The world does suck, yes, but why let the damn bad guys win by bringing you down with them?
You're respected, you're admired, and you're wanted as a friend.....by me, at least, and surely by others here, too. Maybe that helps just a little.
