Human CellA Poem by Gabby NievesBlood
rushes through your veins And
your mind stops. You
wonder about life after life And
hope the thoughts will go away. And
they do, Until
the next time They
resurface And
your mind stops once again. The
world becomes a picture on a darkened wall And
you a spec in an empty white room, You
begin to float and something much stronger than fear Captures
your beating heart. And
in one quick moment, You’re
on the floor of that room, Dead. And
the world rotates And
time continues on, Without
you, Just
fine. © 2015 Gabby NievesFeatured Review
