Two Explosive Fruits

Two Explosive Fruits

A Poem by Beatles9322
"

Eric again! 4/30/12

"
Two souls, ruled by passion
and guided, at times, by reality,
fused together on a Wednesday
and sparked continually since.

Unaware they were of their fated mate,
who floated throughout life listlessly
before the "divine intervention".
But, once as one, they were changed.

Life before had seemed a fine thing,
but, upon future reflection, it was in fact,
Plain. Boring. Bland. Worthless.
Now, it was a cornucopia of indulgent fruits.

To her, his lips tasted of juicy mangoes.
Hers were like sweet strawberries.
His touch was as refreshing as watermelon
on a scorching summer's day.

Hers was explosive.
Like a ripe tomato
bursting in his mouth
and filling him with the sweet nectar.

A amazing use of words.
"To her, his lips tasted of juicy mangoes.
Hers were like sweet strawberries.
His touch was as refreshing as watermelon
on a scorching summer's day."
This my kind of poetry. Alive with life and passion. I like the complete poem. The ending made this poem complete. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
