God-Sent Man

God-Sent Man

A Poem by Beatles9322
"

ERIC!

"

A strange sort of heat

encircles me now.

It envelops my person

with a firm yet tender vengeance.

It is determined to correct

every abuse inflicted upon

its love. It will not

relinquish its hold on me.

This heat has a name.

A God-sent man has

been blessed with the gifts

of heat, light, and peace.

Although a man in all respects,

he takes several forms in my path.

Each time he greets me,

I am reminded of my worth.

This man takes the form of

the gleaming sun, beaming on

my face as I face the day.

His light encourages me.

Then he becomes the gentle rain,

empathizing with my hurt.

His tears are mine and mine are his own,

because we are one.

Lastly, my love becomes the moon,

softening the ferocity of night.

He lights my path and comforts me.

My love is a God-sent man.

Excellent write, Beatles fan. God is lovable and good with babies. Oh so precious, just want to give them butterfly kisses.

A interesting way to look at man. I believe the Lord sent woman to give man common sense and logic. Nice thoughts in this poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.
