We'll Survive On LoveA Poem by Beatles9322Eric, again. 2/7/12
Wrap your arms about my waist,
holding me tight and fast. Whisper your deepest desires into my ear and I'll nod in understanding and agreement. Lie me down on our old wedding bed. 60 years of wedded bliss behind us, I feel like I did on our wedding night. Every night for us is like the first time. Our four lovelies often ask, "How are you still in love?" The only answer we can give is, "God." We've been dealt several hopeless cards in our time. Yet with prayer, passion, and purpose we've thrived. This glorious time together is not over. Oh no! We've about 20 years left on Earth and forever in heaven. We'll live in our own mansion but we will survive on and cherish our love. © 2012 Beatles9322 |
