I Don't Understand

I work 9 to 5 like the everyman
And have a bit of cash to blow.
So...why am I so sad?

I am enrolled at college for the fall
Which means that my life is really starting.
So...why am I so sad?

My best friend knows and loves me in every way.
She shares her love of Christ with me.
So...why am I so sad?

My mother adores and cherishes me.
Her love gives me strength.
So...why am I so sad?

Jesus Christ is my Savior.
He loves me more than I can fathom.
He saved me from death and despair.
He wraps me in His arms every night
And rocks me back and forth.
So...why am I so sad?

Jesus, forgive me for being selfish
And thinking only of my hurts.
I am here to render help to everyone.
I am here to reveal Christ to the world.
I am here for a purpose.
I just need to start fulfilling it.
What God gives I cannot take away.
