Sophia Loren

Sophia Loren

A Poem by Beatles9322
"

I just saw "Two Women", see it NOW, and I was inspired by her natural and earthy beauty. :D

"
Swaying to the sounds of an Italian lullaby
She twirls her pasta in a seductive manner.

Flowing, dark wavy hair falls around her face
As she laughs at the seriousness of others near her.

Her cat eyes examine the crowd
For the one man who makes her smile.

Plush lips turn upwards as she
Catches the eye of her husband, Carlo Ponti.

He joins her and they eat in peace
Holding hands and not caring what others think.

An international Oscar-winning actress dines in an Italian restaurant
With everyone's gazes fixated upon her beauty.

She cares not a bit because she
Is in the company of her man.

I can tell you for certain that Sophia Loren sure made an impression on me all those years ago. In the days of the Hollywood sex symbols like Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, dark, sultry Sophia was different. Even at twelve years old, I drooled when she appeared on screen. Cary Grant nearly lost his mind over her, so it was said. (and he was rumoured to be gay)
