My white muslin gown twirls around my dainty feet
As I spin past my partner in Regency attire. With heart pounding and mind fixed on marriage, I perform the steps that I have studied for many a month. This man has no fortune and lacks rank Yet I care not, as he is my soul mate. What more could a young lady ask for Than to be admired and loved by a man so fine? He takes me for a ride in his small carriage To tell me of some pressing news. "I've no money, no rank and no right to have you But I pray that you'll accept my hand in marriage." Tears flooding out of my brown eyes, I smile in intense happiness. All of my dreams have come true and I could not ask for more. WAKE UP FROM THIS FANTASY! As I go to bed that night, in my modern pajamas and socks I pray to God that He will send me a gentleman of my own.
