What I Treasure Most

What I Treasure Most

A Poem by Beatles9322
"

This is about my crush, Frank.

"
What I treasure most
Are the sweet glances.
Are the stolen moments.
Are the young romances.

I am too young to love,
Of this cliche, I am sure.
Yet I find myself smiling at you.
Though I have all of this, I want more.

Looking at you, I feel a sweet pain.
My eyes shine and my heart breaks.
These past eight months have been pleasant torture.
My sadistic self never thought ill of your mistakes.

Love is an ever-hungry pest.
It sucks the life out of you.
Just like a vampire drains your blood.
If all of this is true, what can I do?

How can I forget the times
When we laughed and smiled?
Is it possible to relinquish
The moments that make my life worthwhile?

I try so hard to hold back,
To give up on our futuro,
But through my sorrowful tears,
I realize that I just can't let you go.

when we hug real tight - our arms go to sleep and we find it hard to let go - nice drop my poet -- and to cry it through takes a strong person and makes a strong person
