I Cried For You...I Cried For Me

I Cried For You...I Cried For Me

A Poem by Beatles9322
"

This is about a certain boy....

"

Yesterday was it

The wake-up call

The reality check

That something was amiss.

It was not difficult to see

How you really felt

I could see it in your eyes

I could hear it in your voice

But most of all

I could see it in you

The fact that you do not love me

Broke me into a million pieces

I never thought you had fancied me

But I still had hopes you would

You shattered them with two words

Two very simple words

"Okay, so..." was all you said

But the words meant everything

As it showed me your heart

And the thoughts in your head

You do not know that I cried that night

I cried for you

I cried for me

I cried because I know that we will never be.

ah! love. it can make the wisest man foolish.
i loved the simplicity of this poem. i understand what you mean but just two words, not directly so, being able to break a heart.
my friends always tell me i look into things too much, over-analyze everything.
but, i just read behind the face, between the crowds, under each word and the way it's said. sometimes that isn't a great thing, being in tune all the time.
but, i'm glad i'm able to.
if this was real, i'm sorry, heart-break always sucks. it may not ''officially'' be over, but we always know where it's heading, and that again, against all our hopes and prayers is a sad thing.
keep writing...
